Despite the biting frosts of early springtime with temperatures falling as low as -6°C, our vineyard was not damaged and that is something of a miracle!
Spring then saw periods of heavy rain and cool temperatures that slowed down the growth of the vines.
Then, in June, a period of intense heat gave good conditions for the flowering of the vines, and indeed they were able to catch up somewhat on their normal growth curve.
This year’s vintage looks set to be of quality, with a harvest date likely to be less early than in previous years.
